Palm Springs Dream Home Raffle Adds Marina Del Rey Home as Additional Grand Prize Home Option

Palm Springs, CA – The 2010 Palm Springs Dream Home Raffle™ has just added a new Grand Prize option – a waterfront condo at Marina Del Rey in Los Angeles. Now, one lucky person could win a $575,000 luxury 3-bedroom home on the exclusive Arnold Palmer Course at PGA WEST™ in La Quinta, CA, a luxury condo at the City Club in Marina Del Rey or $500,000 cash. It’s the winner’s choice.
“We felt the addition of a Grand Prize condo option at the beach would be attractive to many year-round residents of the desert and elsewhere as well,” said Dick Balocco, Executive Director of DesertArc, sponsor of the second annual Palm Springs Dream Home Raffle. “It’s up to the winner to choose,” he said.
The La Quinta Grand Prize home is a stunning 3-bedroom, 3 ½-bath 2,400-square-foot luxury home overlooking the sixth tee of the Arnold Palmer course in the Laurels neighborhood at PGA WEST.
Raffle tickets are $100 each, with discounts for multiple ticket purchases. The raffle also features monthly early drawings for up to $10,000 cash awarded at each drawing. There are 150 additional prizes in all, worth more than $130,000, so the odds of winning are better than 1 in 150. There are also special prize drawings for multiple ticket buyers and those who refer friends.
The raffle benefits DesertArc, a Palm Desert-based nonprofit that has worked for 50 years to enhance the lives of the developmentally disabled.
DesertArc serves hundreds of clients in the Coachella Valley and Morongo Basin, with programs that include vocational training, job placement, independent living support and more.
“The Palm Springs Dream Home Raffle has proved to be an exciting and successful fundraiser for our organization,” Balocco said.
A limited number of tickets will be sold, with a final entry date of May 11, 2010. The Grand Prize drawing will be held on May 15. Ticket holders do not need to be present to win any prize.

Palm Springs Home Raffle Announces
Special 50-50 Cash Split Drawing.

PALM SPRINGS, CA – DesertArc today announced the addition of a special 50-50 split cash drawing in its second annual Palm Springs Dream Home Raffle. One lucky ticket buyer will win half of all the entry proceeds of this special drawing. The other half will go to support DesertArc’s services for the developmentally disabled.

“The 50-50 split cash drawing is a mini ‘raffle within a raffle,’ and was an extremely popular feature of our program last year,” said Dick Balocco, Executive Director of DesertArc. “The 2009 winner took home $57,000 in the 50-50 drawing,” he said.

Anyone who has already purchased a ticket to the 2010 Palm Springs Dream Home Raffle, or anyone who buys a ticket by March 16, is eligible to enter the 50-50 split cash drawing.

Tickets for the 50-50 drawing are $50 each, and the buyer receives one additional ticket in the Home Raffle for every two 50-50 tickets they purchase. Entrants may buy as many 50-50 split cash drawing tickets as they like, but must be a 2010 Home Raffle ticket holder to be eligible.

DesertArc will hold the 50-50 cash split drawing at the next Dream Home Raffle Early Bird drawing on March 27. The Early Bird drawing features $7,500 in cash prizes, and is separate from the 50-50 cash split drawing.

DESERTARC ANNOUNCES 2010 PALM SPRINGS DREAM HOME RAFFLE

The 2010 Palm Springs Dream Home Raffle fundraiser kicked off today, announced Dick Balocco, CEO of the sponsoring nonprofit, DesertArc of Palm Desert, California.

“State and federal funding for nonprofits is more scarce than ever, and donations overall are down because of economic conditions,” Balocco said. “This fundraiser is extremely important in helping us continue to serve the developmentally disabled in the Coachella Valley.”

“We’ve added some features to the 2010 home raffle and made some changes from 2009 which we think make this year’s program very attractive,” Balocco said. “The Grand Prize home is a beautiful three-bedroom residence on the sixth tee of the Arnold Palmer Course at PGA West. Or, the Grand Prize winner can choose to take $500,000 instead. We believe this Grand Prize home will have very broad appeal,” he said.

Palm Springs Dream Home Raffle tickets are $100 each, with discounts for packages of three, six and ten tickets. The 2010 raffle features a special early prize drawing for past ticket buyers, four additional early prize drawings, plus special drawings for multiple ticket buyers and ticket buyers who refer friends. There are more than 160 prizes in all worth more than $1 million.

The entry deadline for the first $7,500 early prize drawing is January 19, and the final raffle entry deadline is May 11, 2010. The Grand Prize Drawing will be May 15, 2010.

Raffle proceeds will benefit DesertArc, a Palm Desert-based nonprofit committed to enhancing the quality of life for people with developmental disabilities.

“We’re encouraging everyone to enter early and be eligible for all the prize drawings,” Balocco said.

THANK YOU TO OUR GENEROUS SPONSORS:
